Question by TheSystem64: How several seconds will turtle have run when rabbit catches up?
Turtle runs at 55 feet per second. Rabbit runs at 80 feet per second, but gives turtle a 5 second head start off.

Please provide detailed information as to how you got your answer. In other words, show your operate.

Best answer:

Answer by Conundrum
so, at the starting the turtle runs 5 seconds at a speed of 55 feet per second, that’s 275ft…. I dare hope you don’t need me to explain this a single…

So the equation describing the position of a particular animal is

p=vt+d

p is the distance from starting point, v is speed t is time in seconds and d is the starting distance

turtle: p=55t+275
rabbit: p=80t

so given that p on each equation are equal when they meet, we have

55t+275=80t

275=80t-55t

275=25t

275/25=25t/25

t=11

So they meet following 11 seconds for the rabbit or 16 seconds for the turtle since it started five seconds ahead.

try a feed mill, like the ones that have horse feed and the like. Rabbit food comes inexpensive there, and is generally safe, ask the farmers.

Question by April: Rabbit supplies? How large really should the cage be for two dwarfs? Any suggestions or suggestions is drastically apreciated! thanks?
I have two dwarf rabbits!!! Any supplies you suggest that should be required, etc. advice, tips
thanks in advance =)

Best answer:

Answer by Ashley
Initial of all, depending on the age & sex of the Netherland Dwarfs depends on putting them both in the same cage together. Two does will fight, two bucks will fight, & if passed 6 months of age & if buck and doe they will breed. Child rabbits opens up a entire nother vault. Now, You will about a four by 3 foot cage, with modest wire, water bowl, and feeder. They will need to be tattooed as effectively. If you want infant rabbits, you will need to know rabbits are the worst mothers. four weeks to have babies, 6 weeks just before they can be taken off her. Take the buck out of the cage with her otherwise he will consume the babies. Give her a nest box with hay or straw and she will do the rest. Also, by no means place a rabbit in the sun & unless of course you have rabbits purely from City Individual backgrounds, leave the damn point outside in teh winter. They like cold much greater than hot.

Question by Dolfin1314: How to build a cheap rabbit hutch/run?
So I am thinking of getting a pair of bunnies. However I am trying to figure out where I would keep them. I would like to build a hutch that attaches to an area in the grass. Like a little fenced in area. I have been looking at prices for the wood and wire/fencing. The wood isn’t that much but I was shocked at the price of the chicken wire. Does anyone know of any cheaper material that would serve the same purpose? It needs to be at least 4 feet high. I can’t spend that much money. Any other tips for building an outside rabbit house? Thank you so much!!!!!!!!

Best answer:

Answer by Summer
Want my bunny? lol just kidding.:) But spend the money and get the chicken wire. It’s really only the safest type of fencing to use, and you want safe stuff with too little vulnerable buns. The chicken wire keeps out predators and keeps the bunnies from escaping. But when building make sure to include both the open area on the grass, and an inclosed box-like area of wood. Completely cover the top of the hutch with lumber/plywood. Rabbits hate the sun and quickly overheat. So make sure there is both a really cool area for them to relax in the summer, and a really inclosed box area for when its cold out and they can snuggle up. But basically what we did to make our was this:
four wood posts in the ground. Wrap the chicken wire around the posts creating a rectangle. Bolt plywood onto the top. (a corner bolted down to each post so the top is all covered). Then we also staked in pieces of wood around the outside out the wire so just in-case the bunny digs they can’t dig under the fence. You could also just sink the wire a couple inches into the ground though. But then we made a rectangular hole in the side big enough for use to crawl in and out. And we just put a little dog igloo inside of the cage with hay so they can go there for warmth. Then we painted the wood to make it pretty. Good luck! It sounds ugly but it comes out ok and suits it purpose. Just check out google for design plans too. Have funn with your bunnies! Sorry I typed SOOO much! yikes!
